An Abundance of Data: How to Use Statistics to Support More Homes!

RSVP now

Open New York's Learning Studio is a monthly series for members to discuss and learn together. We have pizza, meet new friends, and build our collective knowledge base for our advocacy!

How many new affordable homes have been built in your Council District? What percentage of your neighbors are rent burdened or severely rent burdened? How long will a building be rent-stabilized? How many homes has your neighborhood lost from people combining apartments? These are just some of the questions you can answer when you know how to navigate the many rich data sources available to New Yorkers.

Join Open New York members Liz Denys and Geoffrey Thomas for a workshop on New York housing data and data tools! Learn how to easily navigate housing data and use these tools to craft stronger public testimony, inform housing discussions, and counteract misinformation!

This is a space for learning - no prior data analysis background is needed, just curiosity!
